The Carolina Midget Series is the South East Regional division of the USAC Ford Focus Midget Series. The Carolina Midget Series runs on tracks throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. USAC holds an annual National Event which has been in Indiana, California and in 2009, Columbus, Ohio. The cars are a standard Midget chassis but they use a sealed Ford Focus motor that has been modified to run fuel injection and methanol. The engines are provided by Roush Yates Engines.

The Carolina Midget Series runs in two parts. In the spring and fall, the series travels throughout the South East. During the summer, the series runs on Wednesday nights at Concord Motorsports Park on the ¼ mile track.

The Wednesday night “Midweek Mayhem” series started in 2008 and will continue in 2009. In 2008, along with the Focus Midgets, there was a karting division and Stadium Stock division. In 2009, there will no longer be a karting division. Instead, we are pleased to announce the addition of the Pro Challenge PASCAR Series. The Pro Challenge race cars are ¾ scale sprint cup replica cars. These racecars not only have the look of a REAL racecar, they have the feel of a real stockcar also. The Pro Challenge cars have all of the chassis adjustments of a full size stockcar. This type of scale racecar is what you need to ready the driver/crewchief/and owner for the next move up, or for the competitors that want the experience of a real racecar without the work and expense of one. These races will be part of the North Region Series which is being promoted/supported bye the Andrews Motorsports group out of Concord N.C.  The current summer schedule for Concord is as follows:

June 17Concord Motorsports Park ¼ Mile
July 1   Concord Motorsports Park ¼ Mile
July 15  Concord Motorsports Park ¼ Mile
July 29Concord Motorsports Park ¼ Mile
August 12 Concord Motorsports Park ¼ Mile
