Southern Pro Challenge PR

It was officially announced today by John Litzinger President of the Pro Challenge Racing Series that Sam Nelson of Cumming, Georgia has been certified as the third engine builder within this series.  With Curt Andrews handling the North Region and Brad Sanders taking care of the Sunshine Region this should enhance our growth in the South Region stated Litzinger.

Nelson, a native of England, is no stranger to all types of racing engines.  His primary interest has been in road racing for many years and looks forward to being involved in circle track racing.  He looks at it as a new adventure.  Cosworth, Porsche, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha are just a few of the various engines he has experience with.

Litzinger noted that people within Georgia and parts of Alabama will now have a local person to call on in time of need.  Nelson’s ability to refresh motors to the full extent, which includes the currently used Kehein carburetors, stress and crack test, valve train issues (including spring tension), the replacement of connecting rod bolts, cylinder honing and diagnostics will be a major plus.  All engines will be run on the dyno prior to being sealed and released to the customer. Extensive records will be maintained which includes a numbering system on the engines rebuilt by Nelson.

We welcome the new addition of Sam Nelson in our series of racing and look forward to him being a part of our growth.  Please contact Johnny Hoek with Southern Pro Challenge at 770-639-9644 for more details.
