The Pro Challenge Oval Racer is a scale replica of Sprint Cup vehicles with a sealed four-cylinder, 2.3 Liter, water-cooled Ford engine. Kawasaki, and Suzuki 1000"s engines are also available for Pro Challenge racers' use, as well as a water-cooled Yamaha engine (see rules page for more on the Yamaha engine packages). At just 1,675 pounds, the car has an unbelievable weight-to-horsepower ratio, as fast as larger late models on 3/8 and 1/2-mile tracks.
Available in popular Dodge Intrepid, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Ford Taurus, Ford Mustang and BMW 3 Series, as well as a NASCAR-like Truck body styles. Continuing its tradition of innovative design in high performance racing, Pro Challenge introduces the SCCA-ready Road Racer. Built with the same attention to detail and reliability as the Oval Racer, the Pro Challenge Road Racer is equipped to meet the exacting demands of SCCA Club Racing.
Like the Pro Challenge Oval Racer, the Road Racer comes standard with the 2.3 Liter Ford engine. Also available are the Kawasaki and Suzuki fuel injected engines that can deliver up to 180 HP and speeds up to 150 mph-faster than more expensive turbo-charged production models like the Porsche GT. Available in the classic BMW 3 series-like and the new Ford Mustang body styles with race wings, the Road Racer sports sleek lines on the outside and full-on-instrumentation inside, including the FIREBOTTLE Fire Suppression System.
