The first Pro Challenge event at Bristol on May 17th will be in conjunction with the UARA-Stars Late Model Stock Car tour’s race at the Bristol Motor Speedway. At the same time on the grounds of the track, the stars of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series will be hitting the quarter-mile Bristol Dragway for the O’Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals that weekend.
The high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway set up one of the most memorable finishes in Pro Challenge Series history last August when teenage sensation Corey LaJoie battled door-to-door with veteran racer Terry Horak throughout the event for the victory. full story
